Virginia DBHDS’s 988: A new number brings new hope for managing mental health crises

When the Virginia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services needed to spread the word about 988, they called on Siddall to make it happen. This new number was created to connect people in mental crises with immediate solutions. We started with statewide research, and from there, we developed a unified theme, Virginia is here to help. We created accessible and actionable communications to engage, educate and inform the public about 988, including a new 988 Virginia website and an ad campaign of PSA billboards, radio, digital banners, and social media animated stories, in both English and Spanish. We’re honored to have played a role in launching this lifesaving service.
